Privacy

This page describes exactly what HoseWorks’s hose builder stores and where. It is short because the site does little: there are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party services of any kind.

What stays in your browser

Configuring a hose stores nothing on our servers. Everything below is kept in your own browser’s local storage, on your device, and is never sent anywhere unless you choose to send a quote.

A saved configuration and a saved basket expire after 14 days and are then discarded. You can remove all of it at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings — nothing here is kept anywhere else.

What leaves your browser

Two things, and only when you do something that requires them.

  • Pricing. Your configuration — hose type, bore, length and fittings — is sent to our server so the price shown to you is the authoritative one rather than a figure worked out in your browser. Nothing identifying you is included, and nothing is stored.
  • Sending a quote. Your configuration and the delivery details you typed are stored on our server only when you send a quote from the checkout, so that we can respond to it. Sending is an explicit action; nothing is transmitted by reaching the checkout or by filling the form in.

What we do not do

There are no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising identifiers, no third-party embeds and no cookies of any kind — the storage described above is local storage, not cookies, and is never transmitted with a request. No payment details are collected anywhere on this site; card payment is not connected.

Your quote, and removing it

A quote you have sent is held so that it can be answered. To ask what is held about you, or to have a sent quote deleted, get in touch with your reference — see the contact page. Some details on that page are still being confirmed.
